The Jersey Lilly

The "Jersey Lilly"
A Dean's daughter, a sister to six brothers, a wife to a wealthy merchant, an acknowledged beauty, a mistress to a future king, society hostess and the list goes on and on.
She went from wearing one dress to being a leader of fashion. After lost favor and was nearly bankrupt she reinvented herself as an actress and entrepreneur.
After eventually toured America with her own acting company, started a winery in America and was a successful owner of race horses.
Intelligent, humorous, fascinating to both men and women she was admired and idolized by people from all walks of life.

The reason this woman interests me so is I am related to her.  She was born to Reverend William Corbet LeBreton on October 13, 1853. My maiden name is LeBretton.  Some checking into less than intense   genealogy has revealed reasons to believe that she is a long lost (I mean 1853? really) relative of mine. She lead a very interesting life to say the least. Check her story out HERE
